500 g apples
300 g plain flour (or more)
1 egg
20 g butter

A pinch of baking powder
0.1 l milk
A pinch of salt
2 tbsp butter

Silesian apple dumplings
Preparation
Mix the flour, egg, melted butter, baking powder, apples and milk
to a not too stiff dough.
Peel the apples, quarter them, remove the cores, then dice them roughly.
Use a tablespoon to scoop dumplings out of the dough.

Heat the salted water in a big
pot, put the dumplings in and let them simmer but not boil. Remove
with a ladle, dry thoroughly, baste with brown butter and sprinkle
with sugar and cinnamon.
